How to Change Black Color to Transparent in Blender

Removing black color from a texture is an easy thing to do by using the Color Ramp node.

Principled Shader

If you’re using the Principled node, add a Color Ramp node, connect the Color output of the Image Texture node to it and the Color output of the Color Ramp node to the Alpha input of the Principled node.

Move the white stop of the Color Ramp node to the left until you’re happy with how the model looks like.

Diffuse Shader

If you’re using, for example, the Diffuse node, add a Transparent node and a Mix Shader node. Make sure to connect the Transparent node to the top Shader input of the Mix Shader node and the Diffuse node to the bottom one.

Now add a Color Ramp node, connect the Image Texture node to it and the Color Ramp node to the Fac input of the Mix Shader node.

Change the values of the Color Ramp node to fit your needs.
